Although I have related his story already on this site, I feel it is of some interest to give space to the narration by himself whilst in exile in Rotterdam. It must be explained that his memoirs were collated into 1830s script by the Worden Society yet still retaining Livingston`s own wording. Worden Society had set themselves a task of saving old Scottish manuscriptsfor the nation and twelve were indeed so, Livingstone`s amongst them. These are in the safekeeping of Glasgow University from whom I was fortunate to receive photocopies.
If you have patience and time to complete the reading of this script, then I am sure you will be moved by it all.
